The One about Krispy Kreme’s Doughnuts Smooth Light Roast Coffee K-Cups

Since 1937, when Vernon Rudolph purchased a yeast-raised recipe from a New Orleans Chef and would go on to create Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, the doughnut chain would become successful.

But as donuts stores are known for their coffee and Dunkin’ Donuts has been captivating people all over the world with their coffee (to the point where the company is starting to become known for their coffee than their doughnuts), Krispy Kreme Doughnuts is now jumping into the doughnut shop coffee k-cups business.

And as Krispy Kreme doughnuts will be known for its glazed doughnuts, how does their coffee ala K-Cups stack up against Dunkin’ Donuts and The Original Donut Shop K-Cups?

Having tried the Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Smooth Light Roast Coffee K-Cups, my first impression is that this coffee would be great for attracting beginners to coffee because of its smooth, light roast.  It’s not bold, so those wanting stronger, bolder coffee may want to try another brand.

There is no aftertaste and for the most part, it’s a really light blend.  Simple, non-complex and for those who want straight up light roast coffee.

While Krispy Kreme offers a variety of coffee at their stores, currently, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts only offers the Smooth Light Roast Coffee K-Cups.  So, no hazelnut, vanilla or toffee flavors at this time.

So, if you are a new to coffee or someone who likes their coffee lighter, then definitely give Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Smooth Light Roast Coffee K-Cups a try!
