A lot of people are unaware how much walking they have to do on a trip. This is probably something I read from people who traveled, including friends of how they have to stay in the hotel because their feet hurt and got blisters.
I’ve always wrote about bringing comfortable shoes and socks on travel. Especially using Darn Tough socks.
But for me, I walk possibly over a hundred miles for my trips. No matter how hard I prepare for prevention, I often get blisters. I wrote about how I took moleskin and bandaids along with me on trips but lately, I have been trying Rock Tape (best known for their kinesiology tape) which treats blisters & hot spots, prevents chafing and rubbing and can be used on feet, hands, shoulders and hips. They are hypoallergenic, breathable and also water resistant. They also use special fiber that conforms when your body stretches and
They last three times longer and are precut and comes with four 10″ rocktape precut strips, six 6″ rocktape precut strips and four 3″ rocktape precut strops.
I wish there were a bit more of the 3″, but for those who don’t need to use the four big 10″, you can cut those if needed.
It’s a solid alternative to Dr. Scholl’s moleskin, but note that moleskin are sold with soft padding, come in a roll and requires you to cut them and that Rock Tape does cost more than other competitors but Rock Tape is an established brand known for quality and their products lasting longer than other products.
Overall, you are paying for quality and if you want the same quality that Rock Tape puts into Kinesiology products, the same can be said with their blister kit, which I do recommend!
