The One about the ECATFIN Catfish Rigs with Reinforced Connections

Today I am reviewing the ECATFIN Catfish Rigs with Reinforced Connections.

These are available in 6/0 and 8/0 hooks (I am reviewing the 8/0 version). What you get are six rig sets, which are literally two yellow, two green and two red rigs. These are pre-rigged and are ready to go!

While the product targets catfish in terms of what the product description says, this is a rig that actually can target different types of fish. So, let’s take a look at the rig.

You have a two foot 55 lb. test leader line (fluoro) with a barrel swivel on the top, followed by a floater, bead, rattler bell (two steel balls that act like a bell), bead and then a crimp to a looped line to a hook.

Floats can be adjusted as with the beads but for the most part, this is a good set to catch different types of fish but for those looking for a rig to put your bait. But it’s important that you have your magic string ready. Otherwise, for catfish and carp, you may get by with just corn kernels on the hook.

There is no weight, so you may want to add your own sinker slider if you need a little weight or even add a few splitshot sinkers to add a little weight. I personally would add a sinker slider but put a small basket to put something that would create an odor that would attract catfish, if I am going for catfish.

But for the most part, the ECATFIN Catfish Rigs with Reinforced Connections are worth giving a try and at under $14, you get six pre-rigged rigs that are ready to go to catch fish. Definitely worth trying!
