The One about the 2026 FishSure underwater fishing camera

I was excited to checking out the 2026 FishSure underwater fishing camera, as it has a rechargeable 5000mAh battery (up to 8 hours) and is HD via 1080P and also the fact that it has a 65 ft. cable (fortunately, it comes with a backpiece to wind the cable around) and has a top sunvisor (no side visors unfortunately), while the camera is 8pcs IR LED for dark and deep water and has a 220 degree wide view angle and comes with a hold bracket if needed.

But at under $36, it sounds too good to be true right?

Indoors, turning it on, you can see the loading screen, menu options and the camera. There are not many button options, so it’s quite easy to use. Not really much you want to change, unless you choose to turn on fish finder mode.

It’s rechargeable via Micro-USB port (which I wished they made a USB-C option for the 2026 model).

So, now the big question is if it works under water?

The first thing you need to do is to look at the product photo as shown on Amazon to see how you want to set the cable on the camera and how to set the position. I use the +45 degree version as I wanted it to look straight ahead.

As for float, it comes with a small fishing red/white float, but I actually put a larger float as I have had experiences with vegetation hooking up to the smaller floats.

But you will want to toss the camera, while first instinct is to get the cord and twirl it as far as you can, you can easily fray the cord by doing so. So, best to toss it as far as you can via the device without holding the cable.

In the early morning, I was able to spot how the floor bed was filled with vegetation (photos below). But as the day progressed, the screen became much harder to see as the sunlight was too much and all I could see was my reflection on the screen.

I wish it came with the side wall covers, not just the top but man, it’s very hard to see during parts of the day. At night, evening or early morning, no problem but depending on the sun position, it does make things harder to see.

With that being said, for what I needed it for, it got the job done. I wanted to see what the camera saw and while I had a problem seeing it, fortunately my iphone’s camera was able to see the screen a lot better during the sunlight.

Which confirmed of how much weeds were in the area. Now, I am not sure what the “fish finder” menu selection is about.

But just be careful to not mess with the settings. If you want to change the settings, go into your car or cover your head with a towel while looking at the screen because sunlight really minimizes visibility for the device.

It’s important to note that there is no case, but it’s ok, as I had extra hardcases to fit a device of this size.

So, for under $36, it was a better value compared to others I seen on AMZ, it’s hard to complain for what you get. I didn’t want to spend $50 for something that may or may not work. So, I can say it does work, but you’ll need to make a few work-arounds for it to work well. Do all your changes to the settings beforehand, while indoors. No need to fuss when you go out. Just turn it on and it’s ready to go.

I like the fact that it’s rechargeable, portable and functional, and I do recommend the  2026 FishSure underwater fishing camera but only if you understand how sunlight and the sun position can affect the visibility of the device.
