The One about the SEAVO Reflective Spearfishing Throw Flasher

When it comes to inexpensive freediving and spearfishing products, China-based company SEAVO is a known for their freediving and spearfishing floats, buoys and inflatables. As China’s spearfishing and freedriving community is quite big in the southern coastlines of Hainan province, Guandong Province and waters around Hong Kong and their products are available worldwide through Amazon.

Today I am reviewing the SEAVO Reflective Spearfishing Throw Flashers which come with a set of five. These visually attract predatory pelagic fish such as Wahoo, Mahi, Tuna and King Fish. They mimic the erratic, flashing scales of a sinking baitfish and pulls curious fish closers for a diver or spearfisher to get an easier shot.

These flashers are highly reflective and it’s a for the most part a tube not round but hexagonal. So, they are not DIY style with PVC Pipe with reflective tape. These are more of the higher quality style of throw flashers.

There are no drill holes to put a put a line or snap clip to put on a float line. There are no end plugs either.

You can run a line in between with a clip especially to a float belt if needed, otherwise one can toss and then retrieve or hold on to the tube while underwater with one hand and speargun on the other.

But for the most part, these throw flashers are a great deal because many speargun stores sell each for $10 or $15 but you get five for under $31.50. Although, I would have preferred to see these in the $20-$25 price point. The size is about right at nearly five inches in width and diameter of nearly an inch.

So, if you are looking for a set of five throw flashers, the SEAVO Reflective Spearfishing Throw Flasher are worth checking out.
