“theHunter” is a hunting simulation game developed by Expansive Worlds (originally by its parent company Avalanche Studios).
In 2015, “theHunter: Primal” was released but the game the company is known for is “theHunter: Call of the Wild” released in 2017.
A first person hunting game, the game has a plethora of maps, weapons and many other extra things that make your hunting experience much worthwhile.
Silver Ridge Peaks (2020)
When it comes to DLCs reserves, “Silver Ridge Peaks” (2020) has received a lot of positive reviews. Thanks to its gripping storyline and the animals that can be found in this reserve, even when you finish the DLC’s storyline, you just want to stay and explore the map further because there is so many things to hunt.
I’m impressed by how large this map is at 25 square miles. So, may you walk or travel by ATV, there is so much to see, so much to hunt and it’s an amazing DLC.
WHAT IS THIS DLC ABOUT?
Allan Bradley is the reserve’s latest warden, taking care of the area for his ailing father. But for some reason, the lake has become toxic. To make things worse, someone is vandalizing locations, animals are being tortured, travelers have gone missing, and the only person that can get to the bottom of things to help Allan and others is you!
And you get some help from Remi Warren, yes the professional hunter on YouTube who lends you a few tips.
TIPS:
– Some locations are far and it helps to have an ATV [ATV SABER 4×4 DLC is needed or just walk and teleport]
– Having a dog will make things better and less lonely trekking this large map. [Bloodhound DLC]
– My favorite weapon to use on this map is the Perry .308 [Rapid Hunt Rifle Pack]
– Backpacks – The Backpack DLC will allow you to have a large backpack which will become useful.
Because come across some huge bears, ox, mountain lions, deer, and big mountain goats, if you get into taxidermy, get yourself a trophy lodge and the premium trophy mount pack.
GRAPHICS AND SOUNDS:
The environment, everything about it looks fantastic. Playing during the day and night, this DLC looks amazing! The amount of detail of environments, the ambiance of animals to bugs and you name it. Great job of capturing visuals and audio for this DLC!
JUDGMENT CALL:
“Silver Ridge Peaks” is just a fun place to visit and hunt. I can literally stay in this reserve and be happy with this single DLC because it offers so much.
The storyline is no doubt fantastic for the majority of it but the problem is while it was building to a pretty cool ending, it seems that a true ending was never fully planned out. It just ends. Fortunately, right at the end, you discover another amazing place on the reserve.
For what its worth, “Silver Ridge Peaks” is a must own DLC.
