The One about the HAOSHENGDA Speaker Mic

For under $20, people may wonder if it’s even worth it?  For under $20, I have to say yes.

What you have here is a speaker/microphone unit that will work with Baofeng, Radioddity, Retevis, Quansheng, TIDRADIO, TalkPod handheld transceiver that utilizes its K-plug connector that many BAOFENG and other Ham Radio and GMRS radios have. So, these special ports are not just for a programming cable, you can connect this Walkie Talkie Speaker Microphone.

The speaker/microphone is durable thanks to its thermoplastic synthetic polymer resin.

Easy to use and handfree with the PTT button on the left and 3.5mm earphone jack on the bottom. In the rear is a 360 degree rotating back clip.

And one more side note, the version I did receive has the name “HAOSHENGDA” on the speaker mic. And the cable features an anti-tearing protection and is great length if used in your car or walking around if your HT is in your bag, belt or in your hand.

There are no instructions, but it’s easy to figure out.

Last but not least, I recommend anyone operating an HT to use a speaker microphone. 5W is a lot of power but a lot of radios are going 10W – 15W which is insane. While whether or not this is accurate (and most of the time they aren’t), I still recommend never holding an HT near your head. For your safety, use a walkie talkie speaker microphone with good cord length, so you don’t have to have that radio next to your head. Please note, I’m not a doctor but for me, it makes logical sense.

Overall, I do recommend it!
