“A Christmas Movie Christmas” is a really good holiday film! It’s different from the usual holiday films you come across and I found it entertaining!

Eve is a Christmas movie fanatic and dreams of having a movie-perfect Christmas with a movie-perfect boyfriend. On Christmas Eve, when Eve and her cynical sister Lacy make wishes to Santa, they wake up in Christmas Town and find themselves trapped inside a Christmas movie where they are the stars. But when things start to go wrong, and Eve’s knowledge of all things Christmas movie fails to fix things, Eve and Lacy try to find a way out of the picture-perfect Christmas and back to reality.
Back in 2019, the Christmas telefilm “A Christmas Movie Christmas” aired on UP TV.
UP TV is an American basic cable television network that was founded to have a focus on gospel music. The network has since expanded into family-friendly original movies, series, and specials.
And UP TV has become another source for holiday films.
“A Christmas Movie Christmas” is a film directed by Brian Herzlinger (“My Date with Drew”, “Meet My Valentine”, “Twinkle All the Way”) and written by husband and wife, actor Brant Daugherty (“Fifty Shades Freed”, “Pretty Little Liars”) and actress Kimberly Daugherty (“The Duel”, “Grey’s Anatomy”, “To Save a Life”).
And so far, I’ve learned that when it comes to holiday films, Brian Herzlinger has directed enjoyable holiday films such as “A Christmas Switch” (2018) and “Twinkle All the Way” (2019). So, I looked forward to watching “A Christmas Movie Christmas”.
The film revolves around two sisters, Lacey (portrayed by Kimberly Daugherty) and the Christmas film obsessed Eve (portrayed by Lana McKissack).
When Eve talks about how she wants to spend her month of Christmas watching Christmas films, Lacey manages to get Eve to go out. And while out, they see someone dressed as Santa and make a wish.
The following morning, the wish that Eve has made has comes true as both she and Lacey end up waking up in her favorite Christmas movie.
Eve meets a very nice guy named Dustin (portrayed by Ryan Merriman) who is committed to helping people but also meeting the character Chad (the cool and suave guy from her favorite Christmas film) who wants to sweep Eve off her feet.
But just when Eve and Dustin grow closer trying to put a Christmas spin at Holiday Falls for the Christmas Festival, a woman named Noele (portrayed by Addy Stafford), his ex-girlfriend shows up in town out of nowhere.
And while Eve has met her love, Dustin…she is also torn because she is now in a movie that stars the character that she loved and now she is the main actress for this film?
Meanwhile, Lacey meets a shopkeeper named Paul, but knowing that she will need to return back to reality, she doesn’t want to fall in love because she feels that she doesn’t deserve a good man.
For Eve and Lacey, their time in Holiday Falls, leads to self discovery but also wondering if they can truly find real love. Even though they are in a place that may not be real.
“A Christmas Movie Christmas” was actually a holiday film that I watched after I finished my 50 consecutive days of holiday film watch back in 2021. I happen to come across this film again and realized, “Didn’t I watch this before?” and sure enough, I watched it again.
It’s a different kind of holiday telefilm, as these sisters are transported magically into a movie and they become part of a holiday film. Eve is a person who is obsessed with holiday films, becomes part of one. Problem is, she meets the character that she loved watching in her favorite holiday film, but she also meets the guy of her dreams at the same time.
Meanwhile, Lacey who is a person who has had relationship troubles and only dates jerks, so she can’t get hurt, falls in love with a good man who truly cares for her.
And of course, the two are not in their reality, so what to do?
