The One about the RXN Gear (Reaction Gear) Finger Armor Single Joint Protection

I have been wanting to try this finger armor, to see how these work vs. the usual metal/velcro springs I have been using for decades.

Today, I’m trying out the RXN Gear (Reaction Gear) Finger Armor Single Joint Protection  and I have to admit that how this works, reminds me of how my bruxism mouth guard works, in the fact that you get a hard flat plastic and you just heat it in boiling water and then you can easily bend/mold the finger armor and it works.

It’s important to note that the finger armor is white and not blue.  The only thing is the instructions say to cut it with a scissor to mold it but you need a heavy duty scissor, because it wasn’t easy to cut.

Otherwise, after boiling, you can easily mold it and stays in its bent shape but while I see the positive as one can mold it, the metal splints that I use usually come with several and they are half the price of these finger armor.  But for athletes who need it during gameplay, these work great for that purpose.

But overall, the RXN Gear (Reaction Gear) Finger Armor Single Joint Protection does work but it all comes down to preference.
