I like modifying mechanical keyboards and trying out various keycaps and give it a bit more personality through colors and also how they feel.
I wanted to create a keyboard that focused on yellow and black keys, yes, like Transformers Bumblebee style!
I wanted to give the Hiwings 104 Custom Double Shot Key Caps Set a chance.
These are keycaps which come in yellow which is perfect for 61/64/87/104 key keyboards. Not sure why but a keycap puller is not included. Which is not cool!
These keycaps do allow light to glow through the letters, so that’s a plus! Other than that, these keycap fits perfectly.
It’s important to note that it comes in a stapled plastic organizer, so they are organized, but because the organizer is stapled, just removing it, your keys will fly around inside and it won’t be organized. So, if there is a problem identifying the keys, look at the Amazon image as reference.
While it’s under $19, this is a solid color set featuring yellow Double Shot ABS Key Caps. For the most part, they work cool and I have it on a keyboard that produces very good lighting. In fact, the lighting is coming out much better than the original keycaps the keyboard came with.
While the lack of a keycap puller is kind of bad, you can use a tweezer or something flat that will easily pop out the keys. Otherwise, if you have been modifying keyboards, you can use any of your previous keycap removers.
Overall, the Hiwings 104 Custom Double Shot Key Caps Set is recommended if you are looking for all yellow keycaps.
