I usually visit my doctor each year for blood tests to check on my vitamin levels and often my vitamin D is down.
For one, I’m mostly inside, rarely am I outside to absorb any Vitamin D from sunlight and so, it helps to get a little help in increasing Vitamin D levels because it helps strengthen bones and muscles, boosts immunity, helps increase mood, aids in weight loss and improves heart function.
When you purchase Vitamin D, you will often seen Vitamin D2 and D3. Vitamin D3 is supposedly more effective and is a fat-soluble vitamin which promotes the absorption of calcium and plays a role in immunity.
So, I take Vitamin D3 supplements. And today’s review is for the the Carlyle Vitamin D3 2,000 IU Vitamin Supplements.
The recommended daily amount of Vitamin D is 400 IU (International Units) for children up to 12 months, 600 IU for people ages 1 to 70 and 800 IU for people over 70. But according to various things I read online, 1,000-4,000 IU for adults is safe.
It’s important to note that I recommend talking to your doctor about the supplements before taking them, my doctor does not recommend it daily, but every other day, because too much can lead to toxicity. But 2,000IU is quite normal to see in stores. But for me, I take it every other day.
The Carlyle Vitamin D3 2,000 IU Vitamin Supplements is under $9 for under 400 softgels. It’s gluten free and that’s a pretty good price which last you awhile.
So, I’m giving these Vitamin D supplements a thumbs up!
