10 gallon tanks are 20 inches, so you can easily put this across your bottom background.
All you need is an air pump and tubing (and a suction cup with a tube holder to hold the tubing in place) and you are good to go.
If there is one caveat for a few, that it doesn’t come with the airline tubing, but personally that’s fine considering I prefer stronger tubing which you can order from Amazon.
Overall, it works well for what it was made for and at under $10, you really can’t complain.
