For those wanting to switch out their keycaps for their mechanical or optical keyboard, may want to give the Razer Doubleshot PBT Keycap Upgrade Set a try!
Made out of doubleshot PBT (essentially the best keycap material out there. It won’t get that shiny, greasy look.)
My son felt they were “Thicc”. The walls of the keycaps are thick, the keypresses are nice and solid. Fixed our previous, lower quality spacebar falling off of the mechanical keyboard.
Since the PBT is doubleshot, the letters won’t fade away because that’s physically impossible.
The sets come with a lot of keycaps. Enough for any size keyboard (full size keyboards, tenkeyless keyboards/87% keyboards, and 60% keyboards).
It’ll work with mostly any mechanical keyboard. Unless you have a really fancy, custom built one, it should work. It fits the standard cross-shaped switch, so basically any cherry mx switch or knockoff of cherry mx keyboard should work.
The fonts on the keyboard look really nice and I like it a lot!
Comes with replacement stabilizers. If your spacebar, enter, or shift keys are busted, you can most likely fix it.
So, most of these are all positive, any negatives?
Well, the keycaps come in multiple trays, but the trays are flat. Your keycaps are most likely just going to fall out as soon as you open it. This is why I deduct .5 from the total score. So, I wish there was better packaging but other than that, there is nothing much to complain about. These keycaps work!
And I definitely give this set 4.5 stars!
