It has become a trend for travelers to own a scratch off poster of the World Map. May it to be in their home or their office, it’s one way for those to keep track of where one has traveled and to look at daily to remind oneself of countries, continents or states still yet to visit.
The TripsGeo’s Innovative Scratch Off Map of the World is very cool and it’s probably the best scratch off map that I have seen so far.
First, I want to mention that the carton carrying the map has “WORLD MAP 2018”, but by no means it doesn’t mean you can’t use it in 2020. In fact, only on the cannister is where it says 2018 but not on the calendar itself.
As for the map, you have this cool black and gold map (with maps right at the bottom) and some countries have certain monuments that are popular.
The big difference that this scratch off map has compared to other maps are the following:
- More detail! More cities and when you scratch it off, there is actual different colors for each region. Unlike other maps which may be red or blue, this one has much more color shades.
- Easier to find countries. For those who travel or go on cruises, I noticed in some maps, some people can’t find the places they visited, so it’s great to see more detail on this map.
- More maps. This scratch off has more maps featured on the bottom.
As for what it comes with, included in a bag is a pick, microfiber cloth, magnifying strip and activity stickers. This is where I found one thing that I like on other maps missing from this scratch off poster is the long plastic end with the steel scraper in the end. Granted, the guitar pick looking scratching tool will work as well.
Overall, the TripsGeo’s Innovative Scratch Off Map of the World is probably one of the better scratch off maps you will find on Amazon. It’s also among the cheapest at under $14. Sure, it may not come with the long scratcher, but the accompanying pick works just fine.
Overall, I give this scratch off map, 4.5 stars!
