For those who purchase spinning blades, especially one that is connected to a leader line is by using quick change plastic clevis.
There are times where you may want to switch out a Colorado for a French or Willowleaf, different size depending on the water or seasonal conditions and if you do that a lot, using quick change clevis makes it a lot easier!
I am using the VATEICO Quick Change Spinner Clevis which comes with 100 pieces but it’s fairly simple to use but they are super tiny. Smaller than a penny or dime. So, just make sure when you are changing or adding a clevis, you are not in an area with a lot of white, as it can be lost.
The clevis has a white tube segment to fit a mono, fluoro and braid line. Note: You can’t use a heavy Fluoro leader line as the hole may be a bit too small. But still, for the ease of use and the fact that it really locks the spinner blade in, no need to go back to the u-shaped brass clevis.
But the best part of these clevis is that they are cheap. Under $8 for 100 pieces is pretty good and you’ll have extra in your tacklebox.
