The One about the Wakaba Mark and why people outside of Japan shouldn’t place this sticker on their car

In Japan, some may see the wakaba/shoshinsha mark on their cars. The black outline with yellow and green.

And lately some shops advertise this as a JDM sticker that some think it’s cool to purchase and put it on their car. Online auctions, some sell these as JDM stickers.

It’s important to note that this sticker does not mean it’s JDM. The sticker in Japan means you just obtained a driver’s license and it tells people you are a beginning driver.

So, for those who are buying this sticker and thinking it’s a cool sign that you love JDM cars, this is not it!

And also don’t sport the four leaf clover with orange, light green, green and yellow symbol either because that means you are over 75 years of age.

So, as I see some people trying to sell JDM stickers and adding the Wakaba/shoshinsha mark, I can’t help but nod my head and think, I hope people know this sticker does not represent JDM love.
