I am a guy who is into making a room smell good and have no problems using scented candles to make it work.
And I have reviewed a plethora of candles, may it be on the more expensive side and the cheaper side.
The candle I am reviewing is the only scented candle offered by France-based, luxury beauty products company TERRE DE MARS.
For those not familiar with TERRE DE MARS, the company is known for being a unisex brand that utilizes natural coffee-based care, yes…their products utilize coffee beans.
Also, it’s produced entirely in France, organic certified and is vegan and cruelty free.
As I review the “INTUITION” scented candle, is is created by perfumer Julie Massé. And I am assuming this is the same Julie Massé responsible for Giorgio Armani’s “Si Intense”, Bentley’s “Majestic Cashmere” and Cafe Parum’s “Cafe Expresso for Women”.
The candle is more on the smaller side but considering this is made in France, created by a known perfumer and also TERRE DE MARS is considered a luxury brand and they offer one type of scented candle, the $54(US) price tag was not surprising.
The three primary notes are coffee, cardamom and black tea.
Reminscent of Julie (while she is French, she lived in Tokyo, Japan. And she has always been on the record of loving citrus type fragrances, so she blends citrus zest and bursts of cardamom to this wax candle and it also has the woodiness of the Arabica Coffee and Black Tea.
It’s a very elegant style of candle, aesthetically and the scent is very good but meant for smaller rooms. As I tried it in the living room and I didn’t really didn’t smell it, which again, is no surprise considering this is a smaller candle.
But overall, I do like it, but it will be subjective to the purchaser if they want a candle that utilizes Arabica Coffee and also one if they are willing to spend over $50 for a smaller candle.
But I do recommend the TERRA DE MARS “INTUITION” scented candle.
