I’m a person that has a ton of comic books, I’m also a person who has seen their comic boxes break over time and have to purchase new boxes to replace them and seriously, it irks me.
I tried the Weede 2-Pack Comic Book Storage Box and it’s exactly what I was hoping for. Collapsible, sturdy, comes with a cover and works perfectly.
When put together, thanks to the MDF board and the linen polyester, it makes this comic storage box quite durable.
In fact, these comic book storage boxes are mold-proof, moisture-proof, anti-aging and dust-proof. And these boxes can hold up to 150-175 bagged/boarded comic book boxes (depending on the bag/board thickness).
But I hope the company considers making a longer version that is made for those who have a huge collection of comic books and we can replace our larger comic book boxes with these type of storage boxes.
It may be slightly expensive for some at under $43 for two but then again, I noticed my local comic stores has increased the prices of their comic boxes considerably. So, it may not be too expensive considering the material and durability.
But overall, these are fantastic comic book boxes and surprised these were never made until now. Yes, they cost more, but for those who have dealt with broken comic book boxes and have to rebuy them, it’s great knowing at least these will last for a very long time.
