The One about the Asterion Virtual Reality Floor Orientation Mat for Oculus Quest 2

The Asterion Virtual Reality Floor Orientation Mat for Oculus Quest 2 is one that I definitely needed.

Using the Oculus Quest 2, one of the challenges that I have had is certain games had me moving too far to the left or the right and I get close to my fish aquarium or near the TV and I have to be careful. Also, I lose position of centering and I’m often facing an opposite wall.I want to be facing the correction area for centering my Oculus Quest 2 and this is where the Asterion Virtual Reality Floor Orientation Mat for Oculus Quest 2 comes in (Note: You can purchase this for any VR headset).

Upon receiving it, the mat is folded. You will see creases but after 2-3 days of use, those creases slowly disappear.

But where I find it useful is that the mat has a central ring and pivot ring (holes) right in the center of the mat. In addition, let’s say you are moving to far up or down, you can feel the ridge of the mat’s border.

I’m am now so dependent on this mat that I absolutely feel it’s a wonderful investment.

Now depending on the surface the mat is on, some may receive slight slippage on the surface. I see it happen for me on more rhythm dance games but it’s not a deal breaker because as long as I can feel the center and pivot ring, I’m good. The slippage is not as bad for me, as I have it on my oriental carpet, not on hardwood surfaces or tile.

If a version 2 was made, I would go for a slightly stickable under surface which some gaming desk mousepads tend to use and while I’m quite comfortable with the size, I think there are VR gamers who would pay for one that is 6.5 ft in height and width.

But for me, this is a 5-star product and I do recommend it!
