The One about the Razer Barracuda X Wireless Multi-Platform Gaming and Mobile Headset

My currently go to headset right now for gaming is the Razer Barracuda X Wireless Multi-Platform Gaming and Mobile Headset. The headset was designed to have flexibility to use on an Android Phones (that support USB-C audio), consoles such as the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. And of course your PC, laptop.

Featuring a 250g Ergonomic Design and has a cardioid mic with on-headset controls, the headset lasts for 20 hours and is charged with a USB-C cable.

The headset can be used as a wireless headset utilizing a 2.4GHz connection or connect to the device with a wireless USB-C dongle or even its included 3.5mm analog cable (giving more flexibility for use with other devices). You get a USB-A to USB-C charging cable to charge the headset, plus a USB-A to USB-C extender.

The detachable Razer HyperClear Cardio microphone is easy to attach on the headphone’s left side and was designed to suppress sounds from the back and side and offers excellent noise cancellation.

Meanwhile, buttons on the headset allows to answer a call on your phone with a single press, skip tracks or go to a previous track.

But the sound quality of this headset is amazing with the Razer TriForce 40mm Drivers. Razer utilizes a 3-part driver design, but you get solid bass and mids and lows come clearly and works great when playing games with a solid soundtrack or action games where you want to hear each shot, boom and more.

But for those who want THX Spatial audio for surround sound, can easily purchase the audio app from Razer for an extra $20.

The headset is especially light and travel friendly. The ear muff’s are cushiony and I have not felt any ear irritation after many hours of use.

Overall, the Razer Barracuda X Wireless Multi-Platform Gaming and Mobile Headset is the best gaming headset I have reviewed in 2021 and rivals some of the better gaming headset I have reviewed from well-known companies at under the $100 pricepoint.

Five stars!
