For many people, the concept of “love” can differ when it comes to one offering their own definition of it.
Chrissie Lam’s “The Greatest Love Story Ever Told” is a book based on the “Love is Project”. Chrissie left her job in 2012 of corporate fashion and moved to Kenya where she met a group of women in the Massai tribe who made these high-quality, vibrant beaded items. So, Chrissie worked with these artisans to design a bracelet with one word “LOVE”.
And in 2014, a collection of LOVE stories were collected in 50 countries of “What does LOVE mean to you?”. But also, with each bracelet sold, “Love is Project” empowers thousands of female artisans in developing countries around the world through fair wages, healthcare, education and paving the way to a positive future.
Now a global movement, the “Love is Project” works with artisans in 10 countries and provides jobs and new opportunities to 2,000 female artisans across the globe. And the Love is Project has donated LOVE bracelets, to educate through various programs and to help countries to create sustainable livelihoods and support poverty reduction in India.
Going back to the collection of love stories, “The Greatest Love Story Ever Told” is a book which features stories and quotes of love. Answers from people all over the globe of their thoughts about love.
If anything, this book is about love and positivity. But for those who want to read stories of romance, family, triumph and dreaming big.
The book was also awarded Best New Product at NYNOW Tradeshow of February 2020.
If anything, the book also showcases the Love is Project and yes, it does work as a promotional book for the bracelets but also giving us a global look about love worldwide. Definitely makes for a great coffee table book.
