The one about the RAPOO 9900M Multi Device (Bluetooth 3.0/4.0/2.4G) Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo

When it comes to office products, RAPOO (from Shenzhen Rapoo Technology Co., LTd.) is a name that is quickly becoming known among office products. It’s also one of the leading suppliers of wireless peripherals in China.

The company has been around since 2002 and have made mice, keyboards, smart home devices and gaming peripherals and many are looking towards RAPOO products as the more inexpensive alternative to the big brand keyboard/mouse makers.

For today’s review, I will be reviewing the RAPOO 9900M Multi Device (Bluetooth 3.0/4.0/2.4G) Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo.

Because of a switch under the keyboard, you can connect to numerous devices to the 9900M and you can switch easily with a click of a button.

This is for the most part a keyboard for those looking for a bluetooth keyboard for home or office but also a wireless or wired mouse.

Let’s talk about the keyboard first.  I had no problems pairing this via Bluetooth.

I do like the sleek look of this keyboard with its thin style and its stainless steel base.

The keyboard features accurate scissor key structure and floating chic buttons but while sleek and stylish, I want comfort.

There is no way to angle the keyboard, which may cause problems for those who need something more ergonomic.  So, if you have a leveled desk or a sit/stand desk, this keyboard may work for you but for those who are suffering from tendonitis, the fact that this keyboard stays flat, may affect you.

For the most part, my keyboard sites lower and it works out just fine.  I do like how there is ample space underneath to wrist the bottom of your hands.

There are no LED lighting on this keyboard, so those who depend on this for CAPS lock or NUM lock, know this keyboard doesn’t offer lighting.

As for the mouse, the mouse features 8 customizable buttons, 4 DPI (600, 1200, 1600, 3200), a laser engine mouse with Teflon feet pad and has a built in eco-friend rechargeable battery.

It’s interesting to have a side roller button but I do like the fact that it has eight function keys.

So, I went to download the software to see if I can program the buttons but the software was displayed in Chinese.  Not sure if there is an English software available and the mouse displayed on the software, was not the same mouse.

It’s important to note that this is the second software related issue I have had with a RAPOO product, which is not a good thing.

For the most part, this keyboard is all about style and design.  It’s no doubt sleek but for that design, you are paying a premium for that design.  In fact, it’s $80 for this combo unit, double the price of its big brand competitors with their combo combos.

But while those combos may not be sleek, they do offer comfort, they do have little stands to angle the keyboard, which this one doesn’t.

I want to emphasize, I love the style of this keyboard.  But it’s not for everyone.  Are you in it for style/design, then this keyboard rocks.  Do you need comfort?  Then this keyboard is not for you.

I have no problems with the mouse, but with no English software from the RAPOO website, I’m stuck with the default buttons for now.

The RAPOO 9900M Multi Device (Bluetooth 3.0/4.0/2.4G) Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo is no doubt sleek, but it’s also pricey and not so comfortable.  Which direction do you want to go?  Style/Design or Comfort?  If it’s for the former, then this combo is for you!
