The One about the Calose Ginger with Balloon Flower Herbal Tea

My latest tea review is the Calose Ginger with Balloon Flower Herbal Tea.

I don’t know too much about the company, considering I can’t find anything online and there were a few typos on the front but I’m willing to give it a try, as I grew up with ginger tea.

The tea comes with 20 tea bags and each tea bag has 0 calories and features 50% organic ginger and 50% bellflower root.

Balloon Flower (Platycodon grandiflorus) is also known as Japanese bellflower or Chinese bellflower. Or in Korea, it’s known as doraji.

These are beautiful purple flowers and are edible. In China and Korea, they are seen as having medicinal properties.

But I got it for the ginger properties and you can taste the ginger, but not as strong as what I grew up with.

Ginger has a lot of antioxidants and helps prevent the stress and damage to the body and is said to fight off chronic diseases like high blood pressure, heart disease and lung disease, and promotes healthy aging.

For the most part it’s good, but I’ve tried better ginger teas and I think it’s because it has a 50/50 blend.  I guess I’m so used to the ginger kick.  But for the most part, it’s a mild taste, for those who don’t want a strong ginger taste.

Overall, I do recommend it. I give the Calose Ginger with Balloon Flower Herbal Tea, 3.5 stars!
