The One about Pablo Mini in Akihabara having closed down

This is a few months late, but PABLO MINI in Akihabra has closed down as of November 11, 2020.

This is a bit shocking, considering how the shop known for its wonderful mini tarts, was a popular place to visit, whenever one visits Akihabara.  Unfortunately, the company announced that it was affected by the novel corona virus and in order for the overall company to recover, they made tough decisions to close various PABLO shops throughout Japan.

While the Akihabara branch has closed down, this leaves one last PABLO mini shop and that’s in Tokyo. Actually, it’s the last shop in Tokyo.  There are three left in Osaka, one in Saitama, one in Kanagawa and one in Gunma.

With that being said, this is a late but a review to show my respect to a place I visited yearly prior to the pandemic.

My last PABLO cheese tart was during the Cherry Blossom season, the Pablo Cheese Tart (small size is Y490 and the large size isY900) was purchased, along with the PABLO mini-Sakura Mochi and the PABLO mini-High Cacao Mont Blanc (both which were Y300).

The three small tarts were absolutely delicious. And sure, it was around Y1100 but considering it’s not a place you would eat often as someone visiting, for me, it was a place to visit once a year.

The company is all about the “Cheesecake Revolution” and baking delicious cheese tarts and various cheese tarts and while I’m sad I will not see the usual eatery in Tokyo, I can only hope once the pandemic ends, it returns to Akihabara.

But I bid adieu to Pablo Mini in Akihabara and will remember visiting the location and enjoying their wonderful cheese tarts.
