I have blogged about “Atsumare Doubutsu no Mori” (Animal Crossing: New Horizons) and about how I was able to get certain characters but while I have been fortunate to get Simon, I’m still wanting other characters but I’m not going to spend a ton of real life money or even over a million bells to get these characters.
While I have been fortunate to use time travel and got lucky with Simon, there has to be another way to get characters that you want?
Well, I discovered the ylqxc 30 NFC Cards for “Animal Crossing: New Horizons” with Crystal Case (NXP Smart Chip) which is a set of 30 characters:

While Simon is not on this list, there are a few top tier characters such as Marshal, Marina, Zucker, Fauna, Bob, Stitches and more!
Now how to use? I go to the Nook Terminal in Resident Services and click on Amiibo, invite a camper and hold the card to an NFC touch point on the right thumb stick of your controller.
It’s important to know that it works with an original Nintendo Joy-Con but certain third party Joy-Con’s may not be able to read it.
But for the most part, once the character is detected, they will come to your island immediately and stay at your campsite. They will ask you to build them something and you give them what you build. Do this for a total of three times and then they will move into your village. Granted, if your village is full, you may need to kick someone off your island.
But overall, the ylqxc 30 NFC Cards for “Animal Crossing: New Horizons” does work and at $25, sure makes it easy to get this set of Amiibo Cards to get the characters that you may want to have reside in your village.
