The face masks have an exhalation valve and an inside pocket to put a PM2.5 filter and it also has an adjustable earloop and adjustable nose clp.
For those not familiar with these type of filters, a PM 2.5 filter has the first layer which features the cloth filter for micron-level dust, a 2nd layer for industrial pollutants, automobile exhaust, passive smoking and pollen allergens. A third layer of active carbon cloth filters out micron-level dust, a fourth layer which offers filter density for smaller material and a fifth layer of cloth filter out of all kinds of harmful substances.
There is a bit of a chemical smell from these carbon filters, but then again, they have a layer of activated carbon. So, for those sensitive to smells, may have an issue with them. [It’s important to note that I have another carbon filter mask and it also has the smell of activated carbon].
You get five masks and 15 extra filters for $25 which is very good!
