The One about the LVY HDMI Game Capture Card

I have reviewed numerous game capture cards and now I am reviewing the LVY HDMI Game Capture Card.

It’s an adapter that has a steel casing that allows for HDMI input and output (I think the ports are labeled incorrectly), a 5V1A power port [Micro USB port] with a cable and USB 3.0 output.

So, as a test…I connected my Nintendo Switch its dock, connected the HDMI to the LVY HDMI Video Capture Card, Connected the USB to my laptop (I use a powered USB hub) and fired up OBS (a free Open Broadcast Software) which is great for video streaming on Facebook, Twitch, YouTube, etc.

And sure enough, my laptop detected it and I was able to stream online.

It is plug and play and it works!!!

Now with that being said, there are a few things you should know:

For video, it features 1080p 30fps and supports input max resolution 3840 x 2160 @ 30Hz and output max resolution of 1920×1080 @30Hz.  It’s not 4K, it’s 1080p.

Overall, not bad for under $22.  The LVY HDMI Game Capture Card is worth checking out!
