The One about the TSTKCOM Submersible Water Pump (Side Suction) (120 GPH version)

The TSTKCOM Submersible Water Pump (I’m reviewing the Side Suction, 120GPH version) is a very small water pump that packs a punch.

For one, it has the option to be used as a fountain (has a high lift of five feet) , so those with a bird pond or a fish pond or waterfall, this will work perfectly for that.

Second, it can be used for water movement to carry nutrients throughout the tank (which helps in water quality and helps prevent diseases) but most importantly, to make sure there is proper oxygenation.

Now I’ve reviewed and tested many devices and one may ask, is this like a wave maker?

For its price at $16, it’s comparable to wave makers in the amount of power it gives. The thing is a wave maker can be positioned and one can put it to the bottom and at an angle pointing up to create movement.   But at the pricepoint, many inexpensive wave makers DO NOT have a way to control the amount of power it is pushing and while it’s great exercise for a fish, you want to control the amount of power and thus you have to spend more to control that.

For this device, there is a dial to control the amount of flow power which is great and you can see a spout that you can shoot up as a fountain or point it sideways to create movement.  The power cord is 4.6 feet.

But there is another plus for this device, hook up a tube and you can easily use it pump out water quickly from your tank for water changes.

There is something I need to mention, there is a photo of the adapter, four suction cups and a tube.  It says that there are three outlet adapters that comes with the device.  Mine came with one, with the suction cups already to attached to the unit and no tubing.  So, my thoughts are the ones that do come with the extra adapters may be for the other versions.

So, in a way, the TSTKCOM Submersible Water Pump has many uses but if anything, I do love the fact that it’s inexpensive and for such a tiny unit (again, I’m reviewing the 120GPH version), there is a good amount of power and it can be controlled via the dial.  For the price, many don’t offer that and the fact that is does for under $16, it makes this submersible pump definitely worth recommending!
