The One about Tokyo Midtown’s “Midtown Winter Moments”

Tokyo Midtown (near Roppongi) has announced their winter illumination event for 2020 and the theme for 2020 is “Midtown Winter Moments”.

The event will kickoff on November 19th and will last through February 28th.

This year’s event will feature glittering gold illumination decorating the trees and Tokyo Midtown says this year will even be brighter than last year.

In addition, they are adding a Snow Light Globe which changes scenery from snow falling down, the shimmering aurora borealis and ice prisms.

For the children, introduced are step lights in which when stepped on, the steps will change color.

And for 2020, the main attraction will be the Midtown Ice Rink. Typically in past years, many people would gather for a major illumination light show but this time, a “Midtown Ice Rink” will become one of the largest outdoor skating rinks in Tokyo.

The ice rink will run at 11:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m. (on November 19th, it will oven at 5:00 p.m.).

The price will be Y2000 for adults, on the weekend and holidays it will be Y2500. Children will be Y1500, on the weekend and holidays it will be Y2000.

Shoe rental fee include, cafe tickets are available in the hall.

Also being added are Midtown Christmas trees, which makes its debut at Midtown Garden. 25 presents have grown with each tree. The color changes for each tree as it countdowns to Christmas.
