COFFEE: The One about Induban’s Cafe Santo Domingo 100% Pure Coffee

In Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic is a company known as Induban which has been serving the flavor of the Santo Domingo Coffee to the Dominican people since 1945.

As a person who travels the world for good coffee, while I personally have not traveled to the Dominican Republic, I am familiar with the Dominican Republic which consists of Arabica (Caturra and typica) via dark roast and how the Dominican people love their coffee black with azucar (a lot of sugar).

While Induban has coffee shops throughout the Dominican Republic and even has a Santo Domingo Coffee Institute which is the first barista training center certified by the Specialty Coffee Association (SC).

Fortunately, one doesn’t have to travel to Induban to obtain Santo Domingo coffee and you can find the product on Amazon.

I’m giving the Induban Cafe Santo Doming Ground coffee Cafe Moulu a try!

The coffee comes in a four pack of 10 oz cans and they come pre-grounded.  This is not a blend, it’s 100% pure Dominican Republic coffee.

I use a French Press pour over method and I can tell you that while I don’t typically purchase ground coffee (as I prefer beans), you can taste the hazelnut, vanilla and caramel and it’s a very delicious coffee.

I actually tried it the way that people in the Dominican Republic prefer and that is drinking it with sugar, sweetening it and I found it to be very good.

I will have to say this is the kind of coffee that is “safe”.  Not complex, straight up coffee for those who want safe coffee (especially to serve in the workplace).  Not high in acidity and perfect for those who prefer it with sugar or cream.

The coffee is Kosher certified and is gluten free and at $25 for four 10 oz. cans, that’s a pretty good deal.

For those wanting a safe, non-complex, not high in acidity coffee from the Dominican Republic, the Induban’s Cafe Santo Domingo 100% Pure Coffee is worth giving a try!
