I have been in need of dual outlet aquarium for another two small tanks that I have, as I have been going on a splitter from a single 10 gallon pump.
The HITOP Adjustable Aquarium Air Pump with Dual Outlets is what I needed and because it had a knob to control pressure and many accessories.
I have to be surprised by the reviews on here, so I’m going to give my you my honest thoughts because this is actually one of the best pumps (and I have many) that I have tried.
I got the black/orange version (to distinguish it easily from my other pumps). These one gives you 3.3 feet of tubing (using the usual flexible type, I tend to like the hard type, so I prefer to purchase those separately), it comes with two suction cups to keep the tubing in place in your aquarium, a splitter, two oval airstones, two regulating valves to reduce airflow without any extra back pressure, two return valves (best to call it non-return valve or check valve) to prevent water from flowing back into your airline.
It’s important to note that most pumps which I have reviewed, typically never come with regulating valves, so this is cool to see the two included.
With that being said, I have nothing but positive things to say about this pump.
For one, it’s quiet. I read one person who said the pump knob only shuts it off, in my experience, this is not the case, this knob can shut it off but like your faucet knob, you can control the amount of pressure from more coming out of your pump or less. For me, it’s I never run things on maximum and at 80%, it’s producing the right amount of bubbles and its not loud at all.
The second I want to tackle are those who said they got no accessories. I will say that mine came with all accessories included in the box.
The pump shows as up to 100 gallons. Personally, this is a small pump that you would use for anything up to 20 gallons. I am currently using this to split to two tanks right now, one for my guppy fry and another for a guppy tank. For 100 gallons, I would use something much more powerful but yes, this would technically work for any aquarium, granted, I would change the air stone. But for the size of the pump, this is great for those who want to use it for 3-20 gallons, may be a little more would be fine.
And last, the price at under $14 for a dual air pump with all these accessories is pretty awesome.
I have used numerous pumps, from those from the pet store and the third parties that you find on Amazon and I can easily say that the HITOP Adjustable Aquarium Air Pump with Dual Outlets is a great product and you are getting your money’s worth.
If the pump dies then I’ll come back and edit my review but for what its worth, you are getting more than your money’s worth for this product!
