The One about Te Aito’s Kahkikina aloha shirt

When it comes to Aloha Shirts, Te Aito is a brand that I really like.

According to the company, the brand is a born in the heart of French Polynesia and the word “Aito” means Iron Wood, known for its extreme strength and used for ancient war tools and weapons. Also, synonymous with “Hero” and in contemporary terms, someone who excels ins ports.

Inspired by the history of the Polynesian triangle and rich culture, Te Aito designs represents Polynesian lifestyle, the ocean, tradition and art.

It’s probably what draws me to Te Aito brand clothing is that if you want something different than the usual floral patterns and are looking for something more Polynesian tribal, stylish and cool, then Te Aito has plenty of shirts will work.

But when it comes to sizing, I’ve always said that you always want to go up a size and the same is true with Te Aito branded shirts.  But the good news is that you can select a different version of a shirt, may it be classic fit, slim fit, pullover fit or camp fit.

And with mens woven shirts, each fit is named after a Polynesian God.

Everyone has a different preference for aloha shirts, but it’s good to know that if you want a certain pattern, you do have choices.

One of the shirts I purchased from the company is their KAHKIKINA in Navy (also comes in black/gray and turquoise/black)  and classic fit.  I love the tribal pattern throughout.  Works well with dark or light shorts or pants.

The shirt is 100% cotton poplin and is machine washable.  Because of the 100% cotton, it may shrink, that’s why I go up a size!

I also like how Te Aito buttons are brown and all are circular except the middle button which is square with the Te Aito engraving on the button.  That’s a nice tough that distinguishes the brand from others.

The Classic Fit is more of a relaxed fit.

It’s also interesting to see how their inside collars have a different pattern from the actual shirt.

But overall, Te Aito is a brand worth considering, if you are looking for quality aloha shirts with a Polynesian flair! Recommended!
