Before I review this, I want to emphasize that I am not a dietician, nor am I a doctor. I highly recommend visiting your doctor before trying any vitamin supplement for short-term or long-term.
I have to say that me getting the Sino-Sci Red Reishi supplements was based out of curiosity.
These supplements are based from Ganoderma Lucidum, a medicinal mushroom used in TCM for the prevention or treatment of variety of diseases but primarily boosting the immunse system to prevent or treat infections.
It’s important to note that this is a product made in China and US and China have different guidelines. I had to look up the US guideline and in the US, there is insufficient data to rate the effectiveness of the product.
It’s important to note that the supplements are 100% Organic Red Reishi Mushroom Extract meant to be taken 2-3 times a day. According to one US-based site, Reishi mushroom extra is possibly safe when taken by mouth approx. up to one year.
Reishi mushroom is not for those with low blood pressure, suffer from thrombocytopenia, bleeding disorders or just had surgery. IT’s also not for those who are pregnant or are breastfeeding.
For me, I have been using this once a week or when I feel I am having pains or when I’m stressed. I’ve read many testimonials on health sites to the benefits but wanting to practice safety, I only use it when I’m feeling pain and not as a daily supplement. Many swear that their immune system was much better with Reishi mushroom. I personally don’t use it enough to say it works, but I do use it on a few day stretch when there is quite a bit of pain.
Otherwise, definitely discuss with your doctor before using it and do your research.
