The One about the SUNAVO Electric Infrared Burner, 1200W Ceramic Glass Hot Plate

The SUNAVO Electric Infrared Burner for cooking is great to use for cooking, especially if you own an RV or need to cook or heat up something.

I used it the other day to fry some fish and for the most part, it worked very well. Used it on full power and it can be used to cook anything, warm anything, it’s a very good hot plate.

BUT with that being said, there are those who may be wondering if they should go for the hot plate or the infrared burner.

The SUNAVO Electric Infrared Burner has its advantages over the hotplate, in the fact that its 1200W and is more energy efficient.

I actually had both, did a test with both SUNAVO products (Infrared Burner vs. Hot Plate), cooked breaded fish I made on both and the infrared heated up so quickly, I felt that it burned the fish I was cooking on the outside, while the inside was not cooking as well, so I preferred the hot plate. Sure, it takes a little longer but I felt what I cooked was much better. But the SUNAVO Hot Plate is a power guzzler that can easily kick your circuit breaker off for the room your plugged into (or on the same breaker).

So, what I do recommend when cooking with an infrared burner, don’t go too high, know that it heats up quicker. So, you have to make sure that while the outside looks cooked, keep checking the inside especially for poultry or meats.

If anything, the advantage of the SUNAVO Electric Infrared Burner is the fact that it heats up quickly, you can use a high variety of cookware on it and it’s more energy friendly versus a Hot Plate.

It’s a little more than the hotplate (like $5 more) but it’s all about preference and it does work, just keep your eye on the food especially for meats!

If you have the money, just know SUNAVO also offers an 1800w induction cooktop for about $20 more!
