The One about Public House THE OLD ROCK in Kanda

Not far from JR Kanda Station (about a ten minute walk) is an Izakaya/pub known as Public House THE OLD ROCK.

The pub/restaurant has a feeling of a western pub with its red decoir and once inside, you can watch sports, drink a beer or other types of alcohol and grab something to eat.

For beer, you can find Guiness, Kilkenny Draught, Erdinger with a pint going for Y980, regular for Y760 and half for Y580.

The location also sells Yona Yona, Blue Moon, Cidre Hard Cidre and cocktails such as Shandy Gaff, Mango Beer, Red Eye, Pine Beer for Y850 for a pint and Y650 for regular.

And the area features a selection of draft beers for the month. May it be Jazzberry, Grand Kirin, White Ale, Daydream, Spring Valley Brewery, Brooklyn Brewery, Hitachino Nest Beer and more.

The area has a designation for smoking (outside of the front entrance) and non-smoking.  So, for those who are allergic to smoke, no worries about the interior smelling like smoke.

The place can easily get crowded and when I was there around 6:30 p.m., it was not so crowded but a half hour later, it started to get packed.

The seats are high stools.

For the most part, it’s a chill place to go out and get something to eat and drink with friends or alone.  I love the overall look inside and out for Public House THE OLD ROCK.

But I have to say, it’s probably one of the more quieter pubs I have been to and the fact that you can go in and leave and not smell like a chimney is a positive!

Overall, if you are in the Kanda area and not far from JR Kanda Station, give Public House THE OLD ROCK a chance!
