The One about Y’s Road – Japan’s largest bike chain – Part 2

From my last blog, I wrote about how Y’s Road was the largest bike shop chain in Japan.  Offering varieties and brands of bikes, the stores are no doubt, the goto store for bikes and accessories.

Let’s take a look at the cycling accessories offered at Y’s Road:

And as the store is like a superstore with numerous floors, as mentioned in part 1, I really like the collaborations they have done with “Yowamushi Pedal”.  Autographs can be seen at the location:

I know people who have been inspired by “Yowamushi Pedal” to take up riding and I think that’s very cool!

But it’s cool experience of visiting Y’S Road and finally seeing the store after years of passing by it.

Overall, Y’s Road is no doubt a wonderful store for cyclists who want to ride a bike and live in a metropolitan city where you can purchase and ride the bike back home, then I definitely recommend this place.

I do support the mom and pop stores that have had stores for generations in smaller areas and I hope they continue to thrive.  I also feel that smaller businesses are great in giving one-on-one suggestions and the ability to take the time to discuss the bikes and if it fits their needs.

Fortunately in Tokyo, there is enough room for a big store like Y’s Road and mom and pop stores to coexist because Tokyo huge and as there are many people who want cool bikes to ride but there are also an older generation, a younger generation, people who want to invest in a bike that suits their needs (and saves them and their families money in the long run), may it be road bikes, mountain bikes, motorized bikes, cruiser bikes, etc.
