I have been a fan of the JK Films Team YouTube channels and also long time viewer of the team’s individual channels, especially Joe Jitsukawa’s YouTube channel.
He and his partners (which include David So and Stir & Style’s June Quan and boyfriend Dan) have opened a new drink shop in Los Angeles called Sip and what is cool about this place is that they source their matcha straight from Japan and they only serve high quality ethically sourced matcha.
In addition, they use real milk, not non-dairy creamers or milk powders. They use Straus organic GMO-free milk from humanely raised cows from the well-known environmentally sustainable Straus Family Creamery and they serve soy milk, coconut milk and oat milk, as well.
Unfortunately, I have not been able to make it out to the Sip Westwood store but when I saw that they offer Sip at Smorgasburg LA, I had to give it a try!
At Smorgasburg LA, at the Sip Food Stand right next to June Quan and Dan’s other stores “Shrimp Daddy” and “Chichi Dango”, Sip offered a few of what they offer at the main store, but you can set Straight-up Matcha, Matcha Milk Tea, Aloe Matcha and Magic Matcha.
I decided to try something I saw on the video and that was Magic Matcha.
It was absolutely delicious and while I didn’t bother to ask what was inside the Magic Matcha, all I knew was how much I dig the place and want to try more flavors. So that means that when I’m ever back in Los Angeles, I’ll need to head out to the main store when I get the chance.
So, want a drink that is natural with high quality ingredients and so delicious, then definitely give Sip a try!
