The One about Mahika Mano Hammock Cafe in Kichijoji

I love cafes with originality and Mahika Mano Hammock Cafe in Musashino, Kichijoji is quite interesting and also original.

Many people come to Mahika Mano Hammock Cafe for the food, drinks but also for the atmosphere and environment.

People just love to hand out, relax in a hammock and just chill!

There are no chairs, so if you are looking for straight-up comfort, this may not be for you.  This is for those who want to experience something fresh and new and eating or drinking while sitting in a hammock!

When you walk inside, you are greeted by a waiter/waitress and you must take off your shoes before beings seated.

I ordered the Poke Salad and kicked back and saw myself of how the environment at the location would be.  If anything, it took me a while how to comfortably sit in a hammock and eat.

If anything, this is a place where you want to go with you and a few friends or loved one but I would not bring  very young children to the location.  Nor would I bring large luggage inside as my backpack seemed too big to keep underneath the table or in the small bag holder.

It’s important to emphasize that despite me showing photos of the interior, no photography is allowed.  I didn’t know until afterward, so I did get a few photos before I found out about the no photography rule.

I did get permission from the management to shoot photos of the waitress/waiter before I left.

Customer service was great, the place was very clean and if anything, the place gets packed.  I’m not surprised considering the cool atmosphere and it’s a cafe where there are no chairs, just hammocks.

The cafe opens from 11:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (last order is at 10:00 p.m.), while Sundays, they close at 8:00 p.m. (last order at 7:00 p.m.).

How cool is that?  I would definitely visit Mahika Mano Hammock Cafe again!
