Located in Ikebukuro (right across from Minami-Ikebukuro Park) is Beer & Burger Darcy’s.
The concept of the restaurant is creating an image of a pub somewhere in the United States, where one can have a delicious burger and a good beer and after the meal, have good coffee.
The owners know that Japanese may be particular about taste, so they make their burgers with 100% domestic beef from Hokkaido and their craft beer is carefully crafted domestic craft beer.
The location is known for its cheese burgers with buns from the well-established bakery Minehiya with America’s Best Foods mayonnaise. And the best part of it is that the burgers are under Y1200 for the basics but if you want to get an avocado burger, bacon egg burger or double hamburger, it’s under Y1500.
And while they offer a variety of burgers, they also offer chicken burgers, hot dog and loco moco. They also offer a salad plate with burger or chicken.
But there is one caveat…
I’ve been to Beer & Burger Darcy’s multiple times during the early evening and evening and they run out of burgers so quickly!
I have not been successful yet to eat a burger there yet. Other foods yet, but burger…nada.
So, I’ll need to keep revisiting this place whenever I’m eating in Ikeburo in hopes that one day, I’ll be lucky enough to try a burger at Darcy’s.
