In Japan, when it comes to used anime, manga and toys, Mandarake is one of Tokyo’s most well-known stores to visit.
While there are stores that people can find in Shibuya, Ikebukuro, Akihabara, Osaka, Utsunomiya, Sapporo, nagoya, Umeda, Kokura and Fukuoka (and at one point, there was a store in Torrance, California), the Mandarake that I visit is in Nakano Broadway.
In fact, Mandarake was established in 1987 in Nakano Broadway and it’s a store that you can often see many people standing around visiting and perusing manga.
Mandarake is no doubt a great place for people to get inexpensive toys and used manga, but you can also find idol-related material for cheap!
But for the most part, a lot of inexpensive souvenirs can be found at Nakano Broadway but Mandarake is no doubt a place one should visit first, if you are a fan of anime, manga and video games.
