The One about Kobe Motomachi Doria

Throughout Japan, Kobe Motomachi Doria is seen as a restaurant with a fascinating concept.

At the restaurant, their food is presented on an iron plate, but to keep the food warm, a flame is underneath to keep the iron dish sizzling hot.

While visiting the Futakotamagawa RISE shopping center, I ate at the Kobe Motomachi Doria in Setagaya, Tamagawa.

Kobe Motomachi Doria is a restaurant owned by Saintmarc Holdings Co., Ltd. (who also own Saint Marc Bakery, St. Marc Cafe, Kamakura Pasta, Choco Sunmark Cafe, Baquet, Kurashiki Coffee, etc. to name a few).

Once you go in, the location is quite cozy (and crowded – depending on what time you arrive).

The majority of the dishes range from 790 yen to 1290 yen.

Many of the dishes are shrimp, chicken or meat in hot, melted cheese.  Curry, tomato sauce or demi glace dishes and more.

I ordered their special omurice which comes with the restaurant’s special demi glace sauce, onions and baked mushrooms on the bottom. On top, sliced fish on top of the eggs and rice on the inside.

The iron plate is very hot but they give you a small bowl to put your food into and eat out of. It was delicious!

I absolutely loved the hospitality, the basket under the table to keep your belongings and the fact that this restaurant took VISA!

Overall, I absolutely enjoyed my time at Kobe Motomachi Doria and definitely want to try more dishes for the next time I visit the restaurant.
