Delsey is one of the best known luggage makers in the world.
While the company originated back in 1946 courtesy of Emile Delahaye and Seynhaeve brothers (who joined their names to create the Delsey brand), the quality of their bags goes as far back as 1911 when Etablissements Delahaye manufactured cases for cameras and also covers for typewriters and record players.
But in 1946, the company would begin focused in creating travel cases with molded plastic.
And as the company continues to innovate, they have kept their plan of “fusing form and function with French flair”.
And here we are with their Delsey Luggage Chatillon 28-Inch Trolley Duffel.
Sporting the company’s DuraTec fabric which is lightweight and resistant, the duffel is light at 5.3 pounds.
The duffel features two outside pockets, one thin to hold an umbrella or even a monopod and other items. The other features a standard pocket size, while the opposite end features a badge holder.
The interior features tie down straps to hold garments and also two upright stands that can be folded down or snapped to the corners to help keep the Chatillon luggage upright and not allowing the case to tip over. But for those who want the option to flatten their duffel and put it in their closet, will love that the Delsey Luggage Chatillon 28-Inch Trolley Duffel can do just that.
There are four ways to hold the case. One via the trolley handle with a push of the handle can be pulled up or pressed to push the handle down, there is a handle on the top of the duffel, there is a wrap around handle over the duffel bag for those who prefer to hold it like a standard duffel and the fourth option is a removable shoulder strap (with a padded section for comfort)
The Delsey Luggage Chatillon 28-Inch Trolley Duffel is 13.5x 27.25 x 14.25 inches, so it’s quite spacious and weights 5.3 pounds (I actually did a test with my digital weight and it registered a 5.22 pounds). And Delsey says their luggage goes through 40,000 cycles of testing for handle test, staircase test, zippers test, wheels test and drop test.
While I’m quite confident that the Delsey Luggage Chatillon 28-Inch Trolley Duffel is fantastic for those who are wanting a duffel for travel, I will be putting this duffel through a test, as I’m traveling overseas once again and will utilize this bag and will see if it can take the punishment. If it fails, I’ll definitely update my review.
But for now, the Delsey Luggage Chatillon 28-Inch Trolley Duffel is definitely recommended!
