When it comes to the ProtoArc EK01 Wireless Ergonomic Keyboard, there is one thing that makes this keyboard worth taking a look because its made by one of the better known makers of Ergo keyboards in the market, ProtoArc.
Focusing on ergonomics, style and function, the EK01 is a wireless keyboard that is rechargeable courtesy of its 2000mAh battery, it can be ran via Bluetooth or USB 2.4 Ghz.
One of the things that ProtoArc is known for as mentioned, it’s focus on style and this is beautiful ergo keyboard with a slimmer profile compared to other ergo keyboards which I have tested.
Keys are scoped for comfort but also nice to have that curved wrist rest to prevent fatigue, as well as adjustable tilt feet. Also, it has a cool soft white LED backlighting with three levels of brightness.
The keyboard has a powersaving mode which goes to sleep mode after 60 minutes of inactivity and for the most part, a lot of buttons that can control numerous functions.
But with that being said, it’s important to emphasize that this is an ergo keyboard and most ergo keyboards take space and so you need to know that you need adequate desk space for this slightly wider ergo keyboard.
It may take a while to learn, as it took me a while to get use to the keys being placed a bit differently to the keyboard profile I’ve been so used to. But that’s OK, one can learn it easily.
And as mentioned, give it some space, because there were times I accidentally hit the corner top right button which logged me off of Windows.
Do note that ProtoArc offers this keyboard in black, blue, green and gray (with white buttons).
And the keyboard is under $100 which is comparable to other significant ergo keyboards from major companies. But ProtoArc often has sales on Amazon.
Overall, the ProtoArc EK01 Wireless Ergonomic Keyboard is a worthy contender for best ergo keyboard but really, it’s all subjective to the individua who’ll need to use it for work and for their health safety. But it’s a very good keyboard and one worth considering!
