As I start to shift from CAT5 to CAT6A cables in my small office at home, I figured to save cost, just buy a spool of Cat6A 23AWG cables and then all I need are shielded RJ45 connectors designed for Cat6A or Cat7 and so I decided to try the Gaobige 30-Pack Cat7 Cat6A RJ45 Connectors.
Love the inclusion of the metal connection with the dovetail design. You have fixed buckles and covers for the cables. So, you get 30 pieces of the RJ45 connectors,m 30 pieces of the strain relief boots, 30 pieces of the fixed buckles. Prongs are definitely gold plated (8p8c 3 prong).
I have created many Cat5 cables in the past and figured Cat6A should be no problem and with the fixed buckle, it should make things a lot easier than a pass through.
You definitely need a Cat7/Cat6A crimper.
But it should be emphasized that these connects are NOT pass through. So, you will see a split of reviewers who have given bad ratings but chances are they are using higher AWG cables (smaller) thus adding to their frustration.
If you are not confident with doing this, just buy pre-made cables, because making cables is not for everyone and it helps to have a Fluke or device to test the cable as well.
But other than that, these connectors do work. If you have problems, look on YT and also make sure you are working with a 23 AWG cable (which has less loss at high frequencies and works best for longer drops).
But for the most part, these connectors do work.
