For today’s watch review, I am checking out the CHEETAH CH1621 Two-Tone Watch.
CHEETAH is a company founded in 2016 and created by Jack & Leo who wanted to created solid timepieces at a superior value. According to the company, “Our watches’ journey begins with months of research and design. With more than a decade of experience in the industry, we seek out the finest raw materials, including high-end movements, high-grade stainless steel, and leathers. Our integrated manufacturing process meticulously controls quality and production standards – from the smallest component to final assembly”.
The watch that I am reviewing is the CHEETAH CH1621 Two-Tone Watch released back in September 2024.
The watch is featured in black with gold/black, black/stainless steel with gold tone, Blue/stainless steel with gold and silver/white.
First, it comes with a tool, so you can adjust to your wrist size. The stainless steel band is really easy to adjust, but I do recommend having a watch tool set because while it does come with a tool, it helps to have that small hammer to strike the tool for the pin to come out and to adjust really quickly.
The watch features a Japanese Quartz movement and a stainless steel band. I chose the black with gold/black band.
The case diameter is 39.3mm and features Rhombic coated glass mirror (so looking at the glass, it’s like diamond shape, so looking afar, it’s an interesting look at the watch), as for the luminous hands (I charged the luminosity with a UV flashlight).
Easy to change the time by pulling out the crown out all the way to adjust time, halfway to adjust week/date.
The watch is 30M (100 feet) water resistant but my feeling as a watch collector and owner is one should never wear a wristwatch underwater or showering. Especially for a cheaper watch which probably may end up in fogging.
Of course, in terms of aesthetics, it looks like a damn cool watch! But of course, being around that $30 price range, you know right off the bat that you are getting a Quartz watch (runs on a battery, not by force) and you will have to change out the battery possibly every year. So, if you start to notice a lag in time, it’s time to change the battery (not hard to do it yourself, but quicker if you visit your local jeweler for battery replacement).
Overall, the CHEETAH CH1621 is an elegant watch and with the Rhombic coated glass mirror and it’s overall style, for a $32 watch, I highly recommend it!
