For those who are looking to have their handheld transceiver (HT) held by a mount on the air vent, the Radioddity RH4 Car Air Vent Mount, Universal Car Radio Holder is one worth considering.
With many HT’s having a belt clip in the rear, all you need to do is put your belt clip through the slot and you are ready to go.
The air vent mount is easy to put together and there is a spring based holder on the vent, but what is most important to know is that you want an HT that is smaller and not big.
So, if you have smaller devices like a Baofeng UV-5R related or GT-3TP, TIDRADIO H-3 or QUANSHENG UVK-5 (8) or UVK-6, this mount can hold it. Anything a bit too heavy, it will be to heavy for this mount and then, in that case, then look for a cup holder mount.
For the most part, the mount does work but it’s not perfect. But the smaller and the lighter the HT, the better things are.
The Radioddity RH4 Car Air Vent Mount, Universal Car Radio Holder is OK, but again, focus on smaller, lighter HT’s.
