For today’s mechanical keyboard review, I am taking a look at the KZZI K68Pro Mechanical Keyboard.
KZZI is one of the newer companies which I have reviewed mechanical keyboards from. The company was established in 2021 and have sponsored eSport competitions and they have their own R&D dteam, production workshop and switch & SMT factory as well as a molding factory and looking on their website, it’s a big company but with their lineup, they focus on the K68, K75 and Z98 keyboards (lite, regular and pro editions).
And you know it’s a KZZI mechanical keyboard, when their packaging shows not the name but “The Quick Brown Fox Jumps Over the Lazy Dog”. Always trips me out!
Having reviewed their K75 PRO, now I’m taking a look at the KZZI K68Pro Mechanical Keyboard.
With the KZZI K68 Pro Mechanical Keyboard is a tri-mode (wired, Bluetooth or 2.4Ghz with dongle) keyboard with a 67-key layout. You can switch modes via the knob on the upper right.
Those who need those LED lights to know if CAPS LOCK is on, will be happy to know this mechanical keyboard does offer it.
The keyboard is is gasket mounted, which means it helps absorb the sound, and with the plate and base silicon deadener and layers of sound dampening foam, it helps in keeping any loud sounds down. They keyboard comes with extra rainbow switches but for these switches, they are 3 pin/5 pin, so you can use most switches and easily swap them.
There are two different colors available for the K68Pro, one with the white, light blue and purple. The other is pink, dark purple and maroon. For those who want different color profiles, KZZI offers them in their K68 (non Pro) line.
As for how these rainbow switches sound, they are quiet. So, for those who are familiar with red switches, will dig this mechanical keyboard.
For the most part, this is a solid keyboard but sold at nearly $80, which is standard with other companies who sell gasket mounted tri-mode keyboards. I personally like the keycaps but that’s the beauty of hot swappable mechanical keyboards, don’t like the keycaps or switches, you can change them out.
Overall, I do feel the KZZI K68Pro Mechanical Keyboard is a solid 67-keyboard. And at $79.99 but with a $20 coupon offered on Amazon bring the price down quite a bit, it makes it a pretty solid keyboard at a good price if you get it under $60.
Also, the addition of the keycap puller, USB-C cable and extra rainbow switches is a nice touch and makes the mechanical keyboard even more worth owning!
Having used this to test out my typing, tying was no doubt smooth and while I do like a little more thock, those who like somewhat quieter keyboards, will find the K68Pro to their liking. Especially those looking for a smaller keyboard that doesn’t take up too much space.
Overall, another solid performing mechanical keyboard from KZZI. Recommended!
