I absolutely like the use of wireless outdoor security cameras. For one, if you don’t want to do much wiring, all you need to do is charge the device and screw it to a location that you want coverage and then you can receive alerts on the smartphone app.
I’ve been using these type of cameras for years now and it works great!
But for this review, I am checking out the Rebluum Solar Security Cameras 2K WiFi Outdoor, Wireless Outdoor Camera for Home Security with Embedded Solar Panel.
This one is rather interesting because it works continuously thanks to the solar panel on the camera and it comes with a 5000 mAh battery.
Now, of course, you can put it in an area that receives no sun, but know you’ll need to detach and charge it again a month or two later. But that’s not a big deal as most wireless security cameras work that way anyway. But the solar convenience is definitely nice!
Now what is important to know is that it’s utilizes the CloudEdge app. There are two security apps that work great (and won’t get any other camera that uses something differently) and CloudEdge is one of them. You can receive notifications, you can set the sensitivity, you can flip the camera if you have the camera positioned the opposite way.
The camera is also IP65 waterproof.
You do have to use your own SD card, it doesn’t come with one.
But I do feel that the fact that solar is now being incorporated into a wireless camera, that is fantastic, as it cuts the need of repeated charging. And this is among the first I’ve seen and used and now I wish all my cameras had this.
