I recently had a windshield window mount for my phone and our California high heat literally melted the rubber leaving a strong stick residue. I decided I don’t want that type of mount anymore and looked for one that can be applied to a window (or dashboard) with a simple turn of a knob.
And sure enough, I discovered the pop-tech Socket Phone Dashboard or Windshield Window Mount.
This is probably the best mounts I have used that doesn’t need any stickable goo or any liquid/adhestive to put on the suction to keep on the windshield. This one relies on straight suction and a turn of a knob.
This one also has an arm that also extends out forward and comes with a mount for your phone that will be able to use this kind of mount.
For dashboard mounts, these won’t work on soft leather, heavily texture surfaces or curved surfaces. This is primarily for hard plastic, hard leather, smooth surfaces and windshields.
But what makes this mount worth it, is that it can withstand heat up to 194 degrees Fahrenheit and under -68 degrees fahrenheit for cold weather. If anything, withstanding high summer heat was most important for me and this mount can tolerate high heat temperatures.
Overall, the pop-tech Socket Phone Dashboard Mount is recommended!
