For today’s mechanical keyboard review, I am reviewing the AUSDOM Hola98 Pro Wireless Mechanical Keyboard. I reviewed the Manga Girl version that was pink and black, but this time I am reviewing the Ausdom 98Pro Wireless Mechanical Keyboard (Green and White Silent Version).
Ausdom is a company based in the electronics capital of Shenzhen, Guangdong, China and is an international brand that specialized in audio and video since their founding back in 2003. While their web cameras, video baby monitors and headphones are well-known in Asia, the company is now venturing into gaming and they have released their own mechanical keyboards.
But one thing I do appreciate AUSDOM is by creating various color schemes and themes through their Hola 98Pro Wireless keyboards.
First and foremost, the Hola98 Pro is a tri-mode mechanical keyboard. So, it can connect via Bluetooth, a 2.8Ghz USB wireless receiver is included and also via USB-C cable (cable include).
The mechanical keyboard includes a gasket design, which means layer of foam (two layers of poron foam, IXPE switch pads, PET sound-boosting pads and a silicone pad at the bottom) to keep typing sounds quieter and the switches are hot swappable (three extra switches and keycap puller are included) and of course, like all mechanical keyboards, this features RGB backlit underneath the keyboard keys.
This one is a little heavier than the last one I reviewed and I believe because this version is marketed as a silent version.
There are 4-levels and 16 types of light effects that can be changed via the function (lightning bolt, two buttons to the right of the space bar and and arrow key) or (lightning bolt and the down key). While it shows various effects, the main light is white, so bouncing off the keys it looks like pink lights.
As for the keys, the keyboard comes with pre-lubed silent tactile profile, so this makes it different from the other that is linear profile. So, what is tactile? With Tactile, there is a bump in the middle of a switch, so you can feel the actuation. So, linear is more for gaming, but tactile is made for work.
And I will say, this one is so quiet. Pressing on the buttons, you hear nothing. Well, may be a little on the spacebar but really, this is super quiet. I am literally typing this review on it and I love the smoothness and quietness of this tactile profile. I love it!
The silent mechanical keyboard green and white PBT keycap color profiles. Letters and numbers are standard and not stylized like the last one I reviewed and buttons are legible and again, this makes for a great work computer.
This keyboard features 97 keys and has a caps-lock and num-lock LED light indicator.
I have to say that I’m impressed. I’ve used tactile switches but this one is one of the first where it’s dead silent when you type and I think this will definitely become a version that workers who hate clicking sounds when one types, will come to love. And it is a little cheaper than the linear switch version but those Hola98 Pro are more stylized and are themed, while this one keeps things professional. Although, they also do make a pink/black silent version as well.
The AUSDOM 98Pro Wireless Mechanical Keyboard (Green and White Silent version) is one of the best tactile silent mechanical keyboards I have reviewed and it’s highly recommended!
